(Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: a) Approve Bell High School to use the Bell Community Center Main Hall on March 30th; b) Waive the application fees associated with the rental of the Bell Community Center in the amount of $260; and c) Waive the cost of two (2) Recreation Leader I staff in the amount of $120.
Negotiation of an Extension to the Street Sweeping, Sidewalk Cleaning, and Bus Shelter Cleaning Service Contract with Nationwide Environmental Services. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommenced that the City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate an extension to the Street Sweeping, Sidewalk Cleaning and Bus Stop Cleaning Contract with Nationwide Environmental Services at the same base rate and return to Council for final contract approval
Discussion regarding written request from Mr. C's Tow, asking for a contract extension as the current sole tow service provider. Recommendation: It is recomme^nded that the City discuss and choose one of the following options regarding Mr. C's written request for a contract extension: a) Extend the current tow service contract with Mr. C's Tow, as the exclusive tow service provider for three years, broken down into three one-year option renewed periods. b) Extend the current contracf as indicated above, and go out to RFP for a second tow service provider who would be subsequently be added to a rotation for tow services. c) Initiate new RFP process to select up to three tow service providers for the City. d) Consider other unspecified options for tow services as per Council direction.
Amend the FY 2016-17 Budget to Accept $149,100 from Caltrans as Part of a Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Award, and allocate $17,102 from Gas Tax as Matching Funds, and Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement with California of Transportation to complete a Safe Routes to School Plan. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council a) Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to complete a Safe Routes to School Plan; and b) Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution 2017-14 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL AUTHORIZING FY 2016-17 BUDGET AMENDMENTS TO TRANSFER $166,202 FROM GAS TAX RESERVES TO GAS TAX CALTRANS RGA ACCOUNT
