Resolution No. 2014-07-PC - Approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013-05 to allow a party equipment rental business to operate at 3605 Gage Avenue (Planning Commission) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Planning Commission: 1. Conduct a public hearing; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2014-07-PC, titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BELL APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2013-05 TO ALLOW A PARTY EQUIPMENT RENTAL BUSINESS TO BELL LOCATED WITHIN AN EXISTING 2,700 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING ON A 6,500 SQUARE FOOT LOT. THE SUBJECT PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF GAGE AVENUE AND LOMA VISTA PLACE; AT 3605 GAGE AVENUE, BELL, CA 90201 (APN: 6318-020-018)
Three-Year Contract with Lance, Soil & Lunghard, LLP, Certified Public Accountants, for Professional Auditing Services in the amount of $249,200 (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Per BMC 3.12.080 (F) 5, Exception to Formal Bidding Requirements. Professional and Personal Services Procurement, authorize exception to formal bidding requirements for services requiring a high degree of technical skill; and 2. Authorize City Manager to contract for services with Lance, Soli & Lunghard, LLP for professional auditing services in the amount of $249,200.
Resolution No. 2014-19-PC - Revoking Conditional Use Permit No. 2012-07 which allowed the operation of a textile garment assembling and finishing business at 6218 Maywood Avenue (Planning Commission) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Planning Commission: 1. Conduct a public hearing; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2014-19-PC, titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BELL TO REVOKE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2012-07 THAT PERMITS A TEXTILE GARMENT ASSEMBLING AND FNISHING BUSINESS LOCATED WITHIN AN EXISTING 6,770 SQUARE FOOT SECOND STORY OFFICE AT 6218 MAYWOOD AVENUE, BELL, CA
Urgency Ordinance No. 1204-U and Ordinance No. 1205 - Prohibiting the establishment of marijuana dispensaries and the cultivation of marijuana (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Conduct a public hearing; 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Urgency Ordinance No. 1204-U, titled: AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES AND PROHIBITING THE CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA WITHIN THE CITY; and 3. Read by title only, waive further reading and introduce Ordinance No. 1205 prohibiting the establishment of marijuana dispensaries and prohibiting the cultivation of marijuana within the City, titled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES AND PROHIBITING THE CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA WITHIN THE CITY; and 4. Place Ordinance No. 1205 on the next regular agenda for adoption.
