Skate Park Budget Allocation Changes (Council) Recommendation: Staff is seeking direction from the City Council on the future status of the facility area that is currently dedicated to housing a skate park: 1. Option #1 would leave the Skate Park area non-operationai. There would be no additional fiscal impact to the current general fund. 2. Option #2 would reopen the skate park with supervision on designated hours and days. City Council would need to appropriate $31,000 to the Community Services Department expenditure accounts (as stipulated by Finance Director) from the general fund reserves. 3. Option #3 would redesign the entire area in a multi-use field that would accommodate futsal soccer, volleyball and basketball. This would allow for more residents to be serviced annually. City Council would need to appropriate $157,000 to the Community Services Department expenditure accounts (as stipulated by Finance Director) from the general fund reserves.
Consideration of Changing the Dates of the City Council Meetings (Council)Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council directs staff to prepare a resolution that amends Resolution No. 2012-82, changing the City Council Meeting dates to the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
