Approve Resolution No. 2020-60 approving a Streetlight LED Conversion Contract with Tanko Streetlighting, Inc. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Re-Open the Public Hearing regarding the Tanko Streetlighting, Inc. LED Conversion Contract; and 2. Read by title only, waive further reading and adopt Resolution No. 2020-60 titled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BELL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH TANKO STREETLIGHTING, INC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 4217.10 THROUGH SECTION 4217.18 FOR STREETLIGHT LED CONVERSION SERVICES
Business Calendar Florence Avenue Pedestrian Improvements Project - Construction Award. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Award a construction contract in the amount of $2,187,000 to Green Giant Landscape for the Florence Avenue Pedestrian Improvements Project, and 2. Authorize the Community Services Director to execute change orders to the project in a total amount not to exceed $218,700 (ten percent of the bid amount) for any necessary additional work.
Contracts Quarterly Update and Contract Implementation Schedule. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Mayor and Members of the City Council receive and file this report.
Continued item from the August 26, 2020 City Council Meeting – Consideration of an Amendment No. 2 to the Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) with Gage Pine, LLC (Developer) and Atwater Infrastructure Partners, LLC (Atwater). (Council/Bell Community Housing Authority) Recommendation: It is recommended that the Bell Community Housing Authority approve Amendment No. 2 to the Disposition and Development Agreement (“Amendment”) to be in substantially the form shown in the Agenda Package and authorize the City Manager and the City Attorney to finalize the Amendment to the final executable form. If in the course of finalizing the Amendment, City staff and Developer/Atwater reach an impasse upon material policy issues in the Amendment, such items will be returned to the Authority/Council for reconsideration.
Police Department Volunteer Reserve Officer Program. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Chief of Police to reinstate the Bell Reserve Police Officer Program and allow for recruitment of 10 new Reserve Police Officer Volunteers.
The following Consent Calendar items are expected to be routine and non-controversial. They are acted upon by the City Council and related authorities at one time without discussion.
