Consideration to Create an Ad Hoc Committee to Further Review Regulations Pertaining to the Sale, Use and Possession of Fireworks. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council: a) Appoint two (2) members from the Council to the Ad Hoc Committee to help staff review two proposed Firework Ordinances; and b) Direct staff on whether the City should prohibit the sale and use of fireworks.
Approve Amendment No. 1 with Consolidated Disposal Services (CDS), for additional bulky-item pick-up services. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve Amendment No. 1 with Consolidated Disposal Services (CDS), for additional bulky-item pick-up services in the amount of $49,932 per year.
Discussion regarding written request from Consolidated Disposal Services (CDS) asking for a solid waste Rate Adjustment for the Organic Waste Recycling Program. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council implement an Organic Waste Recycling Program and set a Public Hearing for Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
Street Name Sign Replacement Program - Selection of Sign Style. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council provide staff direction regarding the street name sign design that will be used in the Street Name Sign Replacement Program citywide.
Consultant Services Contract for the Preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for the Atlantic Boulevard Green and Complete Streets Project. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to amend the current contract with Nuvis Landscape Architecture (Nuvis) to prepare plans specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the Atlantic Boulevard Green and Complete Streets Project in the amount of $358,017.
Letter to the LA County Board of Supervisors ("Board") Recommending Components in the Development of a Safe, Clean Water Expenditure Program Plan. (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that City Council authorize the Mayor to sign and submit a letter to the LA County Board of Supervisors Recommending Components in the Development of a Safe, Clean Water Expenditure Program Plan.
Approval of a sub-recipient agreement by and between the Los Angeles Gateway Region Integrated Regional Water Management Joint Powers Authority (GWMA) and the City of Bell for the design and construction of the Ford Park Infiltration Project - Phase 1 (Project). (Council) Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council approve the sub-recipient agreement with GWMA and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement.
